Washington, D.C. – Idaho’s chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) was recognized this month by the AGC of America for its continued diligence and commitment to the state’s commercial construction industry. At the organization’s annual awards gala held in Washington, DC, the Idaho AGC received the James E. Cashman Trophy. This prestigious award is given to the AGC chapter with the most effective membership growth and engagement program.

The Idaho AGC is one of 89 AGC chapters across the country. It last received this award in 2003.

“AGC Chapters are involved in important work on behalf of the construction industry, and these awards are just one of the many ways we try to highlight their successes,” said Christi Beatty, Vice President of Chapter Services & Member Engagement.

“It is a great honor to receive national recognition for the work our team does. Our chapter represents more than 670 member companies across the state, and the award acknowledges the strength of our staff in serving those members,” said Idaho AGC President Darrin Dance with Gale Lim Construction in Blackfoot.

Joining Dance at the event in Washington were Idaho AGC staff Gary Tackett and Hailey Reyes.
