3D Modeling and Automated Machine Grading Workshop
September 13 and 14, 2016
Idaho Falls, Idaho
The ITD is hosting a training workshop on 3D Modeling and Automated Machine Grading (AMG). The workshop will highlight the technologies used in developing the Thornton Interchange. The Thornton Interchange is currently under construction and the workshop participants will be given an on the job experience in addition to classroom style presentations.
The workshop is primarily funded by a grant received from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Public agency employees’ participation (travel, accommodations, per diem) will be covered with the grant money. Private attendees (e.g., contractors, consultants) will have to provide their own accommodations, travel arrangements, and pay a small registration fee (to be determined) to cover expenses for breaks and lunches.
A formal agenda is under development, but expect each day to run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Space is limited. To ensure a well distribution of participants, the ITD will approve each participant. If you are interested in attending or have additional questions, please contact Patti Fanckboner at firstname.lastname@example.org or (208) 334-8440.
Please respond by June 30th.
