Transportation department extends public comment period on draft ITIP through Aug. 26
BOISE – The public comment period on the draft Idaho Transportation Investment Program has been extended through Friday, Aug. 26.
The original 30-day comment period was from July 1 through July 30. However, a comment function that was linked to an interactive map failed to work properly and didn’t store comments that were submitted.
Those who submitted comments from the comments link on the interactive map are being asked to resubmit their input.
The extended comment period will allow stakeholders and others to submit comments from the interactive map, as well as by e-mailing comments to email@example.com, mailing them to: ITD – ITIP Comment, Attn: Adam Rush, P.O. Box 7129, Boise, ID 83707-1129, or faxing comments to (208) 334-8563.
The ITIP and interactive map can be viewed at: www.itd.idaho.gov/itip/draft.htm.
A printed copy can be reviewed at any of ITD's district offices in Coeur d'Alene, Lewiston, Boise, Shoshone, Pocatello and Rigby.
For CDs and paper copies, call Adam Rush at (208) 334-8119 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The ITIP is a five-year “roadmap” for planning and developing transportation projects, including highways and bridges, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, highway safety, railroad crossing safety, airports, public transportation and transportation planning.
All comments on the draft will be reviewed after Aug. 26. After approval by the Idaho Transportation Board, the ITIP is submitted to the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Transit Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency.
