IDAHO ASSOCIATED GENERAL CONTRACTORS: The Idaho Associated General Contractors is one of the largest chapters within the AGCA family representing over 1,100 member companies throughout the state. With offices in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Falls, Twin Falls and the headquarters in Boise, the IAGC is a prominent voice in the public policy arena. The IAGC is actively engaged in issues affecting the commercial construction industry, and works on regulatory and legislative matters.

During the annual legislative session, the IAGC lobbying team actively participates in the process, and the IAGC is very effective at protecting construction industry interests. With about 1,000 pieces of legislation introduced annually, it is critical that the IAGC be engaged in the Legislature. The IAGC Legislative Committee comprised of IAGC member contractors from around the state meets regularly during the session to take positions on bills. In addition, members have the opportunity to be engaged in the process through the “Legislative Action Center” which is designed to provide members with timely information and access to elected officials to assist in the IAGC’s lobbying efforts.

The IAGC is also a key player in Idaho’s electoral process, and the IAGC Political Action Committee is one of the larger participants in elections throughout the state. Funded by voluntary contributions by IAGC members, the IAGC PAC support candidates who understand the importance of the construction industry to the economic health of the state.
