Idaho AGC Legislative

The Idaho AGC is one of the most active organizations in Idaho’s Capitol building – looking out for the interests of our members.  During the 2011 legislative session which adjourned in early April, the AGC took positions on several pieces of legislation. Of particular interest are the following:

  • The AGC helped defeat HB 29 which would have extended the sales tax to construction and construction-related services.
  • The AGC worked as part of a business coalition through the Idaho Association of Commerce & Industry to pass HB 153 which addressed water quality concerns.
  • The AGC helped defeat HB 265 which would have stopped wind farm construction in Idaho.
  • The AGC helped pass HB 285 which resulted in an additional $162 million in GARVEE funding for roads.
